Fully controlable outcome!

Once the Painterly action is run, you are able to control the flow of the action via your paint brush. A brush flow of 20% achieves a beautiful skin softening without over doing it. It’s good to be subtle! Hair looks great at 30% brush flow, and you can always go less, and build up via your brush strokes! Even once that’s done you then also have the ability to adjust the opacity of your layer for further control!

The Hair & Skin action run simultaneously, which lets you separate the hair from the skin with your edit, which gives even further control!

Once Simply Smooth and Tone is run. A quick brush flow at 20% over those dark and light areas will blend things nicely!

Actions can also be run by themselves as well!

Here is a quick guide to my workflow with the Painterly action

  • Open image in Photoshop CC

  • Quick basic blemish removal via healing tool

  • Remove stray hairs or unwanted items

  • Run Painterly -Skin & Hair Action, & apply where needed

  • Run Quick Sharpen action

  • Apply Grain Action to finish it off!
